If you’ve been living with chronic pain that doesn’t make sense…
If your scans are “normal,” but your symptoms aren’t…
If you’ve tried physical therapy, injections, meditation, strengthening, stretching — and the pain keeps coming back…
I want you to know something clearly:
Your pain is real. And it is changeable.
I help high functioning people pleasers and perfectionists recover from chronic pain by teaching their nervous systems safety. Not through force. Not through symptom management. But through science-based retraining of the brain and body.
Because pain is not a sign that you’re broken.
It’s a sign your system learned protection — and protection can be retrained.
In 2009, during an ordinary moment of toddler chaos, I hit my head on an open cabinet.
What should have been a minor injury turned into twelve years of daily symptoms: headaches, dizziness, neck pain, brain fog, fatigue.
I stopped training for triathlons.
I struggled to sit at a computer.
And worst of all — nothing made sense.
I was a physical therapist with decades of training. I knew how to stretch it, strengthen it, mobilize it. I looked everywhere in my body for the problem.
But my pain moved. It flared. It didn’t match the injury after a while.
And like so many of the women I now work with, I quietly wondered:
What is wrong with me?
The turning point wasn’t another treatment. It was understanding the neuroscience of pain.
Pain is not a direct measure of tissue damage. It is a protective output of the brain and nervous system.
My nervous system wasn’t broken. It was stuck in danger mode.
When I learned how to retrain it — through education, graded movement, emotional processing, and nervous-system safety — everything changed.
Not overnight. But steadily. Completely. And I made a decision: no one should lose years of their life to misunderstanding pain.
I don’t treat body parts. I don’t chase symptoms.
And I don’t ask you to “just relax” or believe something blindly.
With 30 years of clinical experience and over 20,000 hours of patient care, I integrate orthopedic expertise with modern pain neuroscience and neuroplasticity.

“You Are Not Broken: We Search the Body for the Cause of Chronic Pain, but the Brain Holds the Key to Healing.”
I created the HEAL Method™ — a structured, science-backed framework that addresses pain at the level it’s actually being generated: the brain and nervous system.
HEAL stands for:
H — Hope & Habits
Rewiring belief patterns and restoring possibility
E — Education
Clear, jargon-free pain science that reduces threat
A — Activity
Graded exposure and nervous-system-safe movement
L — Listen, Let It Process, Let It Go
Emotional processing that teaches the brain it is safe
This isn’t pain management.
It’s pain recovery.
Most of my clients are high-functioning, responsible women who have:
Tried everything
Been told nothing is wrong
Felt dismissed or blamed
Lost confidence in their body
Became hyper-aware and hyper-vigilant
Quietly grieved the life they used to have
They are not fragile.
They are not dramatic.
They are not broken.
They are living in a nervous system that learned danger too well.
If that sounds like you, you are in the right place.
Acute injuries in early healing or
those seeking a quick fix.
Those committed to a purely structural explanation for persistent pain.
Recovery requires curiosity, education, and a willingness to retrain protection patterns.
We move at the pace of safety — not urgency.
Pain is real — even when scans are clear. Protection can outlast danger.
The brain is capable of change at any age.
Healing happens when the nervous system feels safe.
Suffering is not a requirement for growth.
When people understand their pain, they stop fearing their body.
When they stop fearing their body, the nervous system quiets and life opens back up
If you’re ready to understand your pain in a way that finally makes sense — and to learn how to retrain it — we can begin there.
You are not broken. And you are not alone
